KGD have a purpose built efficient atmospherically controlled blasting, coating and finishing department which has the benefit of a selection of blasting and painting booths specific painting area together and thermal spray enclosure. This allow us to meet specific customer requirements, work to recognised standards on a variety of items ranging from small pipe spool to large fabrications in the order of 50 Tonnes.

Shotblast booths

• Large unit 24m(L) x 8m(W) x 6m(H) with shot recovery system
• Smaller unit: 6m(L) x 6m(W) x 5m(H)

Consumables Used

• Chilled Iron grit
• AL oxide
• Nut shell
• Garnet

Testing

• Blast profile (roughness)
• Salt test
• Dust test

KGD have a coating division with NACE Level 2 inspectors (Level 3 Inspectors available)

Facilities

• Indoor coating area, with fume / paint extraction system and adjustable heating
• Separate painting booth for smaller assemblies

• Wet spraying using airless or conventional air techniques
• Hot metal spraying
